Would history be different, because knowledge could spread far more easily? Since Europe and Asia have similar climates over long regions, in compare to South America, North America and Africa which have different climates over short regions?
What I mean for anyone who is confused is, what if the continent was like this?

This is an excellent idea! Alternative suggestion to a Sahelian zone, that would bump into India and all, is one at the level of South Africa. The climate is more temperate here, akin to Mediterranean climate. Using chunks of Antarctica, it could perhaps be extending as far as Australia. This is also reminiscent of an Alternate History scenarion I've been pondering about Terra Australis, that was thought to "counterbalance" the Northern continents.
